Contrary to what you have seen in the media it is my contention that Black men are positioned to experience unprecedented levels of success in America today. The challenge is for you to come to this conclusion and recognize that you have everything you need right now to live the life of your dreams.
In order to do this, you must stop paying attention to the media and learn to listen to that still small voice within you. This voice is your intuition and it can guide you to live an extraordinary life. So, “Don’t Believe The Hype” of the negative media. Living an extraordinary is definitely within your reach.
Here is a different way to look at it.
Have you ever noticed how two people can look at the exact same thing and have two completely different perceptions of that thing? For example, when I think about the status of Black men today I am filled with optimism and excitement. And yet the mainstream media and a lot of other people believe that black men are somehow an endangered species. So here is the million-dollar question, who’s right?
The truth is we’re both right based on our perceptions of the world. You see, your perception of a thing creates your reality of that thing. So in other words, if you believe Black men are an endangered species you will go out and find statistics, stories and evidence that support that belief. On the other hand, if you believe that Black men are doing well in society then you will go out and find the evidence that supports your belief.
Since my perception is that Black men are doing well in society, I notice that we have a Black president, a Black man that runs NASA, a Black man who is the Attorney General, a Black man who runs the largest food service company (McDonalds) in America and the list goes on and on. There are Black men who are astrophysicists, scientists, entrepreneurs, psychologist, engineers, doctors and attorneys. There is no segment of society that does not have Black male presence so therefore my perception is that Black men are actually doing quite well in society.
This does not deny that there are still too many black men who are having a difficult time in America, it simply validates my belief that Black men from my perspective are doing quite well.
So what is your perception? How do you see Black men in society today?
Don’t Believe The Hype!
Challenge your perceptions and come to your own conclusions.
